To satisfy the endless demand for our potatoes we have invested massively in a brand new purpose built potato storage building. Now we can supply all our customers all year round!

Our Saxon Potatoes

Look out for our distinctive bags and potato boxes in shops and farm stores throughout North Shropshire.

As a result of our most popular variety Saxon becoming vastly more popular than other varieties grown last year we have chosen to grow this for our entire first early potato crop.

To speed up the growing process and to protect the potatoes from frost we always cover our first early potatoes in plastic.

At Steele Farm we do our best to reduce the amount of artificial inputs used to grow our crops. This is aided by using modern GPS technologies to reduce input overlap to the greatest extent possible.

This variety has white skin and white flesh. Firm, moist texture. This is a Second Early variety.
Saxon is suitable for:

• Chips
• Boiling
• Mashing
• Jacket Potatoes
